Rev. Sebastian White, O.P., Elected President of The International Dominican Foundation
Rev. Sebastian White, O.P. was elected President of The International Dominican Foundation by the Board of Directors on August 12, 2025. Father White will begin his term as President effective September 1, 2025. Raised in Maine, Fr. Sebastian was baptized Catholic as an infant, but his family soon became involved in a protestant church. After graduating from college, he returned to the Catholic Church. Fr. Sebastian then spent four years in Gambing, Austria, studying at the International Theological Institute and then working for Franciscan University’s study abroad program. After becoming close to the Dominican community in Vienna, he entered the Province of St. Joseph in 2008. Fr. Sebastian was ordained in 2014, and then served as chaplain at New York University. In 2018 he became editor-in-chief of the monthly prayer magazine Magnificat. In 2022, he was appointed student master at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC. He is currently a member of the Provincial Council for the Province of St. Joseph.
Fr. Sebastian White, O.P. will replace Fr. Corwin Low, O.P. as President of the International Dominican Foundation. Fr. Low will begin a new assignment as Director of Development for the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (The Angelicum). The Board of Directors welcomes Fr. White to this new role with IDF and looks forward to his leadership and business skills to continue the mission of the foundation.
